Responsibilities for the Tax Accountant:

  • Lead the Mobile team in providing high-quality and timely tax, accounting and consulting services
  • Organize workpapers; manage open items and follow up
  • Research a variety of client-related issues
  • Interact and build relationships with new and existing clientsjoin our team
  • Supervise and train staff
  • Focus on timely delivery of all services

Qualifications expected of the applicant:

  • BS/BA in Accounting
  • CPA required
  • Corporate income tax experience preferred; public and industry experience
  • Heavy experience reviewing the work of others for individual and entity returns
  • Tech-savvy; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, standard tax management tools
  • Alabama state tax experience a plus
  • Experience with tax research tools a plus
  • Must be an independent, resourceful, self-starter and team player
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with leading tax software (Thomson Reuters suite of software preferred)
  • Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment
